Principal's Welcome

It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to Redeemer Lutheran College, Biloela. I have recently assumed the position of Acting Principal and am excited to lead the college and continue the good work of my predecessors. I have been an educator for twenty-three years; seven of which have been spent at Redeemer in Biloela. My two children attend Redeemer and together with my husband, we live on a small farm outside of town.

At Redeemer we believe that every child is an individual with unique talents, each having the ability and the right to learn and thrive at school.  We understand that the partnership between parents and the school underpins this belief. As educators, it is our responsibility to nurture and develop each student to prepare them to become lifelong learners in line with our Mission of providing Student Focused Learning for Life.

We do this through the delivery of holistic, rigorous, and flexible learning experiences for students. As a college, we aim to employ passionate, capable teachers who, with the help of mentors and coaches, develop programs that encourage each student to achieve their personal best.  Our staff model the behaviours that they want to see in their students to align with our Vision of nurturing confident, caring, capable, Christian citizens. We care for our students and aim to help them become global citizens who show respect for themselves, the College, and the environment.

Our college’s Values of Respect, Effort, Appreciation, Christlikeness and Humility (R.E.A.C.H) align with my own personal values, including the importance of faith, hope, courage, and a sense of community. 

In closing, I draw to your attention our spiritual theme for this year. We return to this reading regularly and students and staff are encouraged to contemplate its meaning as they come together in fellowship and reflection.
